These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the MetroSetu Android app (package com.metrosetu) and the website at metrosetu.app, operated by Jatin Singhal, an individual developer based in India (“MetroSetu”, “we”, “us”). Please read them together with our Privacy Policy.
1. Acceptance of terms
By downloading, installing, or using MetroSetu, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or website.
2. What MetroSetu is
MetroSetu is a commuter companion for Delhi NCR metro travel. It offers an offline route planner, a schematic metro map, a fare calculator, first/last train and parking information, a nearest-station finder, and shortcuts that open official partner apps or websites for tickets and card recharge.
3. Unofficial status
MetroSetu is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), Paytm, Amazon, WhatsApp, or any metro operator. All product names, logos, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the relevant service.
4. Eligibility
MetroSetu is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. By using it, you confirm you are able to enter into these Terms.
5. Information is estimates
Routes, travel times, fares, first and last train times, parking, gates, and the metro map come from an offline dataset bundled in the app. They are estimates and references only, not live DMRC feeds:
- Travel times do not account for real-time delays or interchange walking time
- Fares may combine operator-specific rules (DMRC, Rapid Metro, Aqua Line, Airport Express, Namo Bharat) and some journeys need separate tickets
- First/last train times are typical corridor values, not a live schedule
- The map is a schematic for planning; journey preview is not a live train position
- Gate, platform, and parking details are compiled from public sources and may change
Always confirm fares, timings, gates, and parking with station staff or on dmrc.in before you travel. For official help, DMRC customer care is 155370.
6. Acceptable use
Use MetroSetu for lawful, personal, non-commercial travel planning. Do not misuse the app, attempt to disrupt it, or use it in a way that infringes others’ rights or applicable law.
7. Tickets and payments
MetroSetu does not book tickets or accept payment. QR ticket and smart card recharge actions open official partner apps (Paytm, WhatsApp, Amazon Pay) or websites (such as dmrcsmartcard.com). All bookings and payments occur outside MetroSetu and are subject to those providers’ terms and policies.
8. Third-party links and services
The app opens third-party apps and websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
9. Premium and billing
MetroSetu may offer an optional premium (remove-ads) purchase through Google Play Billing. Purchases, renewals, and refunds are handled by Google Play under its terms. Availability and pricing may change.
10. Intellectual property
The MetroSetu name, app, website design, text, and original content are owned by the developer and protected by applicable laws. You may not copy, redistribute, or create derivative works from them without permission. Third-party trademarks remain the property of their owners.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
MetroSetu is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetroSetu and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app or website, reliance on estimates, missed trains, incorrect fares, or third-party services you open from the app.
13. Indemnification
You agree to be responsible for your use of MetroSetu and to hold the developer harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the app or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
14. Termination
You may stop using MetroSetu at any time by uninstalling it. We may update, suspend, or discontinue the app or any feature at any time.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to applicable law, courts in India will have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to MetroSetu.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
